Whether the weather is blustery, damp, or snowy (or all three!) this hat is guaranteed to keep your ears well-guarded. With a clever construction, the two comfy flaps rest on either side of your head while the edge dips lower in the back to keep the wind and snow off your neck. We’ve played with braided ties with tasseled tips and knitted I-cord ties!

Fluffy, fleecy, chunky-weight Rowan yields a wonderfully cozy . A super-soft blend of extra fine merino and baby alpaca, Brushed Fleece is warm and insulating, yet remarkably light. And all that plump fluff means you’ll have a snuggly hat in no time!

1 (1, 2) skein(s) Rowan Brushed Fleece (115 yds/105m each); shown in Color 271 Fog.
Or approx. 105 (110, 130) yds/96 (100, 119)m chunky-weight yarn.
Plus 10 yds/10m of contrasting chunky-weight yarn for optional charted colorwork or duplicate stitch embroidery.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 10 (6mm) 16"/40cm circular and double-points, or size to obtain gauge.
6 locking stitch markers, one in a contrasting color.
Darning needle and crochet hook, for finishing.

GAUGE
Approx. 14 sts = 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch in the round, after blocking.
